This anthology of 26 popular fairy tales includes the work of Grimm, Perrault and Joseph Jacobs, as well as a translation of "The Arabian Nights" taken from the original French version which introduced these tales to Europe. Sara and Stephen Corrin are the authors of a modern version of "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" and the editors of "The Faber Book of Christmas Stories" and "A Time to Laugh". Illustrator Juan Wijngaard has been the recipient of the Kate Greenaway Award.
