An illegal alien from the Dominican Republic dreams he can make it on the Great White Way, but instead he finds a job cleaning toilets, all the while dodging the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Does that keep him from dancing? Or romancing the owner of the dance studio that employs him? Of course not! This cornball cheapie is surprisingly stylish and provocative, with a fresh look delivered by director Joseph B. Vasquez (Hangin' with the Homeboys).
