About Freud Industrial Blades
Freud’s industrial series blades were designed for the serious woodworker. Available in a variety of styles for different applications, LU blades feature thick carbide tips, precision-tensioned bodies found in every Freud quality blade. Some LU blades include a red Teflon coating that helps reduce friction, heat build-up, and gumming -- which prolongs the life of the blade. About this Industrial Cutting Saw Blade
Use Freud's LU89M series blades for cutting nonferrous metal such as copper pipe, aluminum extrusions, brass plate, and more. This blade has custom-designed gullets to minimize chip build-up and specially formulated MicroGrain carbide tips and Tri-Metal Brazing for long life and clean cuts. This heavy-duty, non-ferrous metal cutting blade produces an excellent finish. Freud recommends ample use of a liquid lubricant when cutting (such as with a squirt of WD-40).
