Emotions and Sensations is designed to be utilized as a therapeutic tool for parents, therapists, and educators in teaching individuals diagnosed with austism and other developmental disabilities. The focus of Emotions and Sensations is to identify, generalize, and discuss a wide range of common emotions. Emotions and Sensations promotes the learning of: pronouns (boy/girl, man/woman), letter/word identification, facial expressions, abstract thought, spelling, sight reading, social and conversational skills, imitation skills, and recall ability. Emotions and Sensations can be used to facilitate an understanding of how environmental situations can bring about a wide array of emotions. Emotions are presented multiple times, in a variety of settings, by a diverse group of people to enhance generalization skills. Discussion questions follow each sequence of emtions to enhance and reinforce learning. The DVD also includes a full-screen slide show of flashcards that can be printed out on the included CD-rom.
