Finely detailed 1/48 scale model kit of the World War II German Jagdpanzer 38(t) (Sd.Kfz. 138/2) tank destroyer, commonly known as the Hetzer or "trouble-maker". Using the proven Panzer 38(t) chassis, the Hetzer was more mechanically reliable than other larger German armored vehicles at the time. The Hetzer was fitted with a 75 mm gun, which could destroy nearly all allied tanks in service at long ranges, and it was designed with "sloped-armor", which effectively doubled its frontal armor thickness from 60 mm to 180 mm. This model kit depicts the mid production Hetzer, with its unique design features that include armor, muffler, wheels and tracks faithfully reproduced. Other features include die-cast chassis, single-piece straight upper and lower track sections, and decals for 3 different kinds of markings.
