Designed in Switzerland, Bilibo is a new kind of toy that has won counteless awards for design and play value. The elementary shells leave room for the child's imagination. Instead of imposing a specific play pattern, Bilibo is open for a wide range of interpretations and encourages the children to invent their own games, to play and have fun in an active and creative way. Indoors and outdoors, in the sand-pit, in the water or even in the snow... Bilibo is full of surprises.
Bilibo provides proprioception, which is the body's sense of itself in space, this helps struggling learners attack challenges that the environment presents. The constant feedback from the proprioceptors to the motor cortex of the brain allows for more complexity of movement and balance. With Special Education students this toy helps to gap the lag between the body's growth and one's sense of self in space. Proprioceptive sense helps to monitor one's ability t sit in a chair, listen to information and take notes.
