Highly detailed 1/35 scale model kit of the FlaK 36, an 88 mm anti-aircraft and anti-tank artillery gun used by Germany during World War II. Commonly called the "eighty-eight" by the Allies, the German 88 mm gun was a highly effective weapon against both air and ground targets. Originally developed as an anti-aircraft gun ("FlaK"), the eighty-eight prove to be superb as anti-tank artillery during the German campaign in France and North Africa. The eighty-eight's success as an improvised anti-tank gun lead to a new line of PaK 88 mm guns dedicated to anti-tank use, including some mounted on Tiger and Panther tanks. This detailed 1/35 scale model kit depicts the eighty-eight as it appeared during Rommel's North African campaign.
