Based on a manga by Renjuro Kindaichi the comedy anime series HARE+GUU fashions a charming metaphor for sibling rivalry. The series focuses on 10-year-old Hare who lives with his loving single mother Weda in an idyllic jungle village. But Hare's peaceful life is shattered when his mother adopts a little orphan girl named Guu whose sweet exterior conceals a dark malevolent soul bent on torturing her new older brother. Funny and bizarre the television anime continues with this fifth volume of episodes.System Requirements:Run Time: 150 mins Genre: ANIMATION/ADULT SWIM Artist: NEGIMA Rating: NR UPC: 704400077661 Manufacturer No: 1-4210-1397-5

These episodes of Negima! revolve around the sort of romantic misunderstandings and slapstick confusions that made Ken Akamatsu's earlier comedy Love, Hina so popular. The ongoing storyline about half-pint wizard-in-training/Mahora Academy homeroom teacher Negi Springfield fighting the vampire Evangeline and her robot servant gets dropped in favor of shorter misadventures. Hasegawa learns she doesn't have pose as an online "Net Idol" to have friends; Negi and Konoka go shopping for a present for Asuna, and the rest of the class assumes they're on a date. The students of class 2-A also study for exams--not because they care about academics, but to ensure that Negi earns a favorable evaluation. These high jinks would play better if Negi were in college or at least as old as his students, rather than a fey 10-year-old.
