An indicator light comes on and the charger automatically switches to trickle charge mode upon completion of charge. This protects against over-charging, keeps batteries safe and fully charged. It can charge AA / AAA Ni-Cd and Ni-Mh rechargeable batteries. The charger also detects when a battery is bad or is not chargeable.
